Technology Website Assignment

Bon Appetit lesson A lesson on food and drink that eventually leads up to ordering food in a French speaking country. The lesson includes multiple PowerPoint presentations for introducing and practicing vocabulary. In addition, there are multiple interactive practice activities for students.

Cooking Crepes Lesson This lesson is for middle school level students and includes a web quest, internet usage to seek out visuals and additional information, and a student created PowerPoint activity. In using this lesson, I would also add a youtube video to demonstrate the preparation process.

Curating an On-line Museum Students visit a museum, create their own artwork/photos under a designated theme (digital camera), create a web page that displays their "art work".

Lesson Plan Assignment

My lesson is one that I am currently working on with my Advanced French class. In reality, their rubrics were differentiated according to their level in French.

Web 2.0 assignment

Xtranormal FUN! Students can create movies from dialogues using this site. They prepare a dialogue (they have a French speaking option), choose the theme of thier "movie", make and animate characters, type in the words and voila. Their own little French movie.

The site is free and it was very easy to use. I LOVED that the people could speak French. This type of project would be great for students who are insecure about their speaking abilities, yet they still have to come up with the proper grammar and structure of the language.

Educational Game or Tool Assignment

There aren't a lot of REALLY fun French games out there, but there are quite a few that help students practice their grammar. One site that is great for this is Quia. Teachers actually prepare the games using their choice of vocabulary or grammar. The downfall is that you are limited to the templates of the site.
